That is looking so nice. I can't wait for the first fire up of that LS1. Make sure you have a Video Camera for this. Thanks a bunch for keeping us updated on your progress.

Note how high the front of the car still sits even with the new motor ? The chev is much lighter than the Porsche engine.
Looks like there'll be some new springs coming soon.

I wouldn't order new lighter springs just yet unless you've weighed both engines - anytime I lift the front end of my '85 928 with the 5.0L (US Spec) it sits like that until I get after it for 30 miles or so. Something about the suspension geometry, I guess. The rear seems to come right down, but the front always takes a while to settle. Makes height adjustments a right pain, because you have to pick it up, adjust the height, then lower it, drive it 30 miles or so, bring it back adjust it, lower it, drive it 30 miles. :D Or raise it, which is worse, because you head out thinking you're fine, and by the time you're on your way home, you're rubbing over every bump and turn.

I agree about the ride height.I have experienced this as well.Drive 20-30 miles and the suspension will settle back to original ride height.Plus the 928 had a really light engine to begin with, aluminum block,no liners. You should be ok.
