Sounds like Time to me, or maybe she´s not getting enough fuel from the pump.

A couple of months ago, my car did somthing similar, the problem was the regulator in alternator...I figure out when I came out of electricity. Anyway, the fuel pump needs 12 volts to pump fuel....not 8 volts or less, but your problem could be a lot of things.

hows the idle? 85-86's are notorious for air leaks in the intake manifold, usually it always needs to be refreshed seal wise to get proper quality, maf will also need a rebuild once you confirm ignition and belt timing is ok.

the car idles good once its started, when i start it cold it will fire then die so i have to hold the gas just a little then once its started and running i slowly let off the gas and it will idle on its own just fine. i shall check the voltage at the pump while the motor is running and let you kno as well. you think i should replace the injectors?

You can get your Injectors serviced at Witch Hunters, provided they are not mechanical. I used them twice with great results
