Post Re: Brake Systems
So, what do you suggest, showld we change the calipers ???.
In that case We will upgrade that brake system.

I will keep looking, sure it have a mecanic failure somewhere, maybe the brake hoses are too old and it will need new inox ones.

Regards.
Jano.

You could pull the calipers off and have someone push the brake pedal and see if the pistons close, just make sure sure not to go too far as then the piston will come out. Do this with all the calipers to make sure they work before replacing.

They seems to work fine.
You have both models, a stock 928 and an S model, is there any difference in the braking ????.
Mine is a 80 S model and my brother car is a 79 normal 928.

Or maybe we need to change the pads. I have a similar problem in my Audi A4 and the problem was the pad material (it was not carbon material).

Than you Leo.

Brake Calipers are small on the non S Models. Braking is real bad for sure. My S stops so much better. Ok, since all your systems work, then yes the Pads are next. Most people will change the Disks as well but that's your choice.

Yes, seems that everything is working fine.
My S model is stoping much better than the normal 928, I thought that they might have the same kind of brakes.
Then we must try new pads, maybe Brembo or Ferodo with carbon- metallic meat in them.

Gracias amigo !.
