Post 911 vs 928 seats
I am in desperate need of new seats. My current seats would not even work in the lowest dive flop house.
Current options are

1) $1800 for my local shop to recover in black leather
2) Buy a used set on Craigs list that are vinyl (recovered) for $430 including shipping
3) Beaters on Ebay for $550
4) Igge seat covers
5) Milk crate

Any suggestions?

If your near the border. Getting them done in Mexico is another option.

Not a bad idea.
Do you have any recommendations? TJ I assume.
I have a book show to do in SD in September. So this would be easy .

I wouldn't recommend anyone i like to the one I used, but there was one that someone else used and was happy with the results. I decided not to go there with my Dash since it was less expensive across the street, but I shoulda (you know).

The roads are crazy there so i couldn't in the least get you in the correct area. I do know it's just on the other side of the border and it's where ALL the Upholstery Shops are.

Thanks
It was told to me that National City is cheaper and better going across the border.
I will check on Jager

Hello to all of you, I actually live in Querétaro City, México, but I used to live in México City and I get all my leather interior done there for less than $1,250 USD. that includes the dash, central console, seats (all of them), door panels, rear panels, A pillars, C pillars, etc.... all in a very fine leather....and even new carpets.
These guys are very handcrafted and they make a magnifique work.

I understand that this is far away from you, but maybe you can find a good workshop near the border and they will surelly be as handycrafted as the ones I find down here.

Next weekend i will go down to México city and find out the exact address for you.

Best Regards.

Jano.

Yes, I have heard of this city a lot as my Bro in Law travels there all the time. I think he's from there. My wife is from Tulancingo. Yes, let us know when you find the address. Maybe he might have a website too.

Yes MP Dano, Tulancingo is near México City.
I already found the web site for the upholstery down here in México city, where I take my 928S (which is one of the very few here) to get dressed.
They make a fantastic job, all the interior upholstery look like new, and the best of all it cost me in Mexican pesos which are in $12.30 pesos per dollar.

Well for all 928ers the web site is:

Best regards
Jano.
