Post Jiggly windows
928ers, I have a question about my jiggley windows and I am wondering if someone out there has advice on how to remedy the situation. I have a 84 928S. When my windows are midway down they shake when I drive over bumps and I can wiggle the window forward and back by hand. I took the door panel off to see how things work and what the problem might be and found that the window tracks on a tube with two plastic guides. The guides have a lot of clearance between the opening and tube (1-2mm/side) which seems to be what is allowing the window to move around. The confusing thing is that the clearance in the guides does not look like wear but rather designed in clearance. Might there be some bushings that are missing? If anyone has any information on how I can keep my windows from moving around I would appreciate the feedback.
Thank you - Martin

I heard those White Nylon Guides surrounding those Metal Tubes wear down and cause this play. It's a to-do thing I need to happen on my Euro.

Hello fellow 928´s,
could you please be more specific, which part number we are talking about ?.
My 80 S is starting to have the same problem.

Kind regards.

Jano.

#12 and #13. I haven't did mine yet, but curious if it works. You'll see that there is a lot of play in these parts.

Nop !!!,
It was the roller (4 and 5), it get broke and causes the jiggling problem.
I will try to find a similar piece here in México, if not then I will try in Pelican or somewhere else.

Oh wow, I have the same problem on both my cars. I would have never guessed the rollers. Great find. You should be able to match up something close to you.
